For a fully certified ATP (Air Transport Pilot) the current salary can be less than $100,000, depending on what airline you fly for. Before Sep. 2001, International ATPs were making in excess of $500,000+ per year. However, all ATPs are restricted to how many hours they can fly. Ei. 1,000 hours max. PTP (Private Transport Pilots) [ex. A business jet pilot for some company] can get paid per flight. It's only after the flight is completed that the payment is calculated. It all depends on weather, delays (if there were any), and the overall comfort of passengers/executives. An estimate, from me, for each flight by a PTP could be in excess of $10,000 < $15,000 - again; it all depends on who you fly for.
