How can I cancel a flybe flight due to illness and get proof of cancellation.They never answer the phone.?

Hi ,I need to cancel a flybe flight due to illness,I also need to obtain proof of cancellation for the insurance.I have tried to phone several times but the phone lines are always busy.Is there any other way I can cancel these flights.Thanks for your help......

Phoning Flybe will not, in itself, provide proof of cancellation unless they are prepared to send you confirmation, perhaps by email, that you have indeed cancelled the flight. It may be better to write to them (and keep a copy) at -

You may find that the Insurance company will require a letter from your doctor to show that you were unfit to travel, on the scheduled date of departure, due to illness.

Assuming that you bought a ticket that you can cancel, try going to the airline's website to cancel the flight. If the ticket is not cancellable, you may get a credit for a future flight on the airline.

Littleja, of course the lines would be busy., The best way is to get to the airline direct in person, and do the cancellation, and get a confirmation of the cancellation for your insurers.

You have to contact them to cancel, but dont go for them in future, good customer services are really essential.
