Matt Cann is right in all points. Depends on the carrier. and depends on the plane they are using on that leg. also not all seats are fitted with the power port.and you would require a special cable that you can either purchase or borrow from the airline. again you can ask the airline about this.

You will need to check with the airline you are traveling on. Older aircraft will not have this capapbility, and depending on the airline new aircraft might only offer power points in Business or First Class. If you find you are traveling on an airline and aircraft with laptop power points be sure to ask if you need a special cable. Some airlines, Lufthansa is one I think, requires a special cable that they sell to economy class passengers. Lufthansa Business and First Class travelers get the cables for free.

Yes it is, some chair have power sources for your laptops, but you need to request one.



Some air carriers only have power ports in the classes above economy though

it depends on the plane and the carrier, you do have to ask in advance ... United's Premium Service Flights (which include regular economy class) have that
