A few months ago I heard that Ryanair was going to have flights from Boston to Dublin but I haven't heard anything since then. I could not find any information on their website about this.

Ryanairs competitors Aer Lingus have routes from Dublin to the US and recently there has been a lot of talk about the possibility of a Ryanair takeover of Aer Lingus in order to use these routes. So keep an eye on the business and finance news. If Ryanair were to fully succeed in their takeover its highly likely that they would use Aer Lingus' transatlantic routes in the near future.

This has been rumored for a couple of years, but they have never announced any formal plans to do it or a target date.

You can read about it at this link:

It probably will not be anytime soon. They don't have any aircraft capable of flying across the Atlantic. All of the stories that I've read say that they want to acquire 787's. However, the first 787's won't be delivered until at least 2010 (Boeing keeps falling further behind its deadlines) and a new Ryanair order won't be available until years after that because the early production slots are all sold. Unless they change to a different aircraft type, or find a leasing company with early 787 delivery slots, they won't have any suitable aircraft.

RyanAtlantic is the proposed name for a long-haul airline version of Ryanair. According to Ryanair's Michael O'Leary who is the CEO, the airline could be operational by 2009 however this is unlikely due to the fact there are no aircraft orders at present and because since their announcement of the idea earlier this year there has been little said about it - possibly due to unstable oil prices.

So yeah, there is no set date but doesn't look good for 2009. Hopefully 2010!

London has many times the main inexpensive flights, and in case you do not desire to stay there long, you are able to take a 2-hour prepare to Paris (that is approximately $a hundred and twenty with Eurostar). Paris and Rome should not be too costly the two, yet i think of it may be greater value-effective which you would be able to fly to manhattan first, and then catch a flight from there.
