Basically there were some airforce planes that got lost there (navigation error) and crashed in the sea in the 1950's. There are also some ships that have gone down there too. But the fact is that ships go down all over the ocean and there are many more dangerous places - Great Lakes have many more ship wrecks, off Cape Hatteras, Cape Cod, many more too. I think there is no evidence there is anything more mysterious about the bermuda triangle than any other place where mysterious ships and planes have crashed. Thousands of ships and planes cross the area all the time with no more problems than other places on the globe. Accidents happen everywhere - the bermuda triangle mystery simply makes a good story plot - maybe because it has a cool name?
