More than likely this won't be possible. Some airlines will allow you to hold the tickets for either 24 or 48 hours. But for the most part, air tickets are non-refundable, the lower priced tickets especially. If you pay more to get a refundable ticket, then you will have a little more time to pay for the ticket.



As far as I know, there is no way to get a ticket without paying. The only thing you can do is get a hold for a few days while you arrange the rest of your travel details.
