Me and my friend are going to Amsterdam and we're getting a flight + hotel package using Expedia. If we're paying online using credit card, how the heck do we split the cost of the trip 50/50? I'm really confused.

Simplest answer is have your friend pay you the cash and then you book the whole trip with your credit card or vice versa. I am sure you cannot make a single booking using two separate cards belonging to two individuals.

Enjoy Amsterdam, the people are friendly (most of whom speak English) I don't know your reason for the visit but Amsterdam is an amazing city, there are then many museums and parks the strangely tall and thin town houses most with spiral staircases if that's what you want. Of course there are the attractions of the ladies of a certain profession in a certain part of town, and smoking pot is also legal.

Just a word of warning, if you do plan to visit the Red Light District please be very, very careful late at night when the crowds start to thin out, and ignore the guys who try to attract your attention in that area. Chances are they are drug dealers looking for a sale, and I am not talking just pot with these people. Don't get me wrong the Red Light District is perfectly safe during the day and evening but late on and without too many people around it can become unsafe.

You can split the cost between two credit cards when you book a flight + hotel package as noted under Vacation Packages here: http://support.expedia.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1425/kw/multiple%20credit%20cards/related/1 . Follow the instructions when you get to the payment options page when making your booking on Expedia.

Another option is that one of you can pay for the whole thing and the other can reimburse the other with half the cost. You won't necessarily be charged for the whole thing at one time. If it isn't prepaid, you'll pay the hotel at the end of your stay.

You should call expedia. I know that the free for changing a flight is 150 + the difference of the ticket. I suggest cancelingyou flight( then using that ccredit get a new flight with the extending dates you want. You might find cheaper ones and that free may be bypass.
