I had a problem once with my fountain pen when i opended it after i landed there was some ink in the cap, but with regular ball pens you do not have a problem.

umm no there's pens in airplanes all the time noever burst. the plastic surrounding the ink is very strong and holds up to the pressure change of flying. think about it, the membrane in your ear is much thinner, and that doesn't burst when you fly.

Nope.

But my can of coke burst all over the cabin and soaked everyone.. aah what a flight it was :]]]

They gave out pens on a flight once so its safe.

Take a packet of crisps on a plane.. its hilarious.
