I am leaving for Las Vegas on Memorial Day and have never flown before. Any advice about air travel (or Vegas)?

Just stay calm...once you get on the flight it feels no different to being on Earth as long as you don't look out of the window (But personally I like to).
Watch the safety video and make sure you're prepared for an emergency. But keep in mind that accidents are very rare so there's nothing to worry about.
Watch TV on the flight, it'll help pass the time.
Hope this helps!

Make sure you arrive at the airport at least 2 hours beforehand to allow plenty of time to go through security.
Photocopy your ID and credit card and keep it in your carry-on in case your ID gets stolen.
Don't visit the bar before you board the plane. You can be denied boarding because you can appear intoxicated. Besides, you'll get airsick.
Most planes now have a smoking section. It's located on the wing, and this month the two movies you can watch out there are Blown Away, and Gone With The Wind. (Smile)
Just relax. Everything will be fine.

If you can, get an isle seat, so that you can easily get up and walk around without disturbing people. Unless of course, that you want to look out the window.
Get yourself into a cheerfull, helpfull frame of mind. Travelers tend to be irritable and tense, due to all the line ups.
Relax and just stand in line. An iPod helps.
If you have sinus problems or a head cold, your ears may block up during descent. Pinch your nose, close your mouth and blow hard. Chewing gum and swallowing also helps.

Relax, make sure you got everything packed, be ready to party all night and have little or no sleep at all in Vegas, if you gamble make sure you know when to quit because Vegas is no fun if your out of cash, and make sure to have an extra drink for me lol I hope you enjoy you trip and good luck

Keep in mind that flying is a safe and fast way to travel. Also keep in mind where air sickness bags are and that they have to say all the emergency stuff but you will likely never have to use it.

Take some hard sweet to chew when the cabin pressure makes you go a little deaf. Chew and it goes. Again when landing.

KEEP IN MIND THAT THE AIRPLANE YOU'RE IN, COULD CRASH AT ANY GIVEN TIME--BE IT PILOT ERROR, OR A TERA-DACTYL HITTING THE WINDSHIELD
