PLEASE help me find a reasonable airfare! Please read the details?

Question

I MUST get fly from St. Louis (STL) to Spokane, WA (GEG), I would need to leave Feb 29th and return March 2nd. I posted a question like this 2 days ago, and I had 2-3 people respond with some very good rates and listed the site that they got it on, but when I went to the site and searched for tickets, the rate would come back $75-$100 higher than what the person had just answered! PLEASE! I have to get this ticket, I only need 1! I don't mind 2 or even 3 connecting flights, I just HAVE to get there! PLEASE HELP!

Go to southwest.com

Click on book travel in the top menu bar.

Select Depart: St. Louis, MO- STL

Arrive: Seattle/Tacoma, WA- SEA

Return: Depart City/Round Trip

Select Feb 29 and Mar 2 (anytime)

Go to next step- select flight

Select the cheapest flights for those dates

The total is $415



Go back one page and look on the right for "Southwest Shortcut" it will tell you that all of the flights in and out on those dates are $190 each way.



So go back and do the same thing only with your arrival as Spokane. The total for the cheapest flights is $430.50, which isn't very cheap. So go back one page and look at the Southwest shortcuts again.



By looking at that, you will see that if there is any way you can return on Monday the 3rd, the total price would be $371.50 which is a little better.



Normally I would say watch the rates, like I told you before, because they change, but you are running out of time.



Look at last minute flight sites and see if they have any good deals. Sorry I couldn't be more help!



NEW* I found a fare on Orbitz for $398.99 total leaving at 6:45am on Feb 29 to Spokane, WA. I know that's not great, but it's better than most of what I've found so far. I'll keep updating if I find more.

this happens alot more often than you would think. it is due to a change in the inventory of the flight that has not been reflected on the first list of prices. that takes longer to update for some reason. to cut through the deals, you should check out http://www.travelcuse.com to book your trip. the site is an aggregator which means it takes offers from various online sites and shows you the best deals. you could also check out priceline for "name your own price". the times and connections are usually bad but if you just need the cheapest and nothing else matter that might help. good luck!
